Job profile

CAFOD, SCIAF and Trócaire (CST) represent the official development and humanitarian agencies of the Catholic Church of England and Wales, Scotland and Ireland. In Ethiopia, the three agencies work together to support the developmental agenda of Ethiopia and to provide emergency supported when needed through working with local and international partners including the Catholic Church of Ethiopia and national NGOs.

We are now looking for an Institutional Funding Coordinator to join the team in Addis Ababa. The post-holder will report to the Country Representative.

Job role

To support the country team design winning projects and programmes for submission to institutional donors, consistent with the Country Strategic Plan (CSP) and enhancing the quality of the overall programme in Ethiopia.

To increase and diversity the institutional funding base of the Ethiopia country programme by developing and monitoring an institutional funding strategy in support of the Country Strategic Plan.

To build the capacity of the Ethiopia Programme and Finance staff and partners to manage existing and future institutional funding contracts.

Your profile

Essential

Excellent understanding of the grant management cycle and the need to meet deadlines

Demonstrated experience of writing successful proposals for institutional funding and meet donor reporting requirements

Excellent written and spoken English

Skilled at building budgets that reflect the planned programme of work and ability to manage consortia budgets

At least 5 years senior management experience in a development and/or humanitarian context

In-depth knowledge of the institutional funding landscape and understanding of donor priorities

Commitment to work in a partnership approach and in consortia with others to secure funding for the country programme

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Desirable

Experience of working as a trainer or facilitator

Experience of working in partnership
